Introduction to EL-Lea-Eye-Em

Hi I’m Kim and I welcome you to the world of EL-Lea-Eye-Em music.

My reason for writing is to introduce you to the members of the ELLea-Eye-Em family and to give you some insight into the music and messages contained within the songs on our debut, concept album: Awaken – We are Gods.

My full name is Kim Andrew Lincoln and I’m the founder and creator of this music entity. Yes, we have an unusual name. So what does it mean I hear you say?

What does EL-Lea-Eye-Em mean?

Well, Our Signature Song, which is the fourth track on the album explains it in detail, though I will say now that the language is part English and part Angelic and the four components of the name (ELLea-Eye-Em) carry a powerful spiritual message in this abbreviated form.

The EL-Lea-Eye-Em Family

So who are the guys and girls in the EL-Lea-Eye-Em family?
Well, the two key players are my collaborator, Joe and myself. I write the songs in terms of the lyrics and vocal tunes. I do some singing and narration work and play the drums and all the administrative, sales, marketing and business side falls to me.

Joe, writes the chords and harmonies to my songs and is generally responsible for the production, rrangements and mixing, in consultation with and agreement with me.

We hire top-class session musicians and vocalists from around the world and Joe manages them and writes their parts. Joe also plays keyboards and is the studio audio and video engineer.

Presently, we have two interviewers, Olivia and Sophie, who interview me about the songs, their meanings and messages, which you will find on our Patreon and YouTube podcast channels.

Where is EL-Lea-Eye-Em Based

We operate from our base at Lime Tree House, which is our dedicated Recording & Music Production Studio in Telford, in the County of Shropshire, England. Work on the construction of the studio began in early 2023.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge with the utmost gratitude the professional work of my dear and multitalented friend and fellow First Things First (FTF) musician, Phil Souter, who designed, project managed and supervised the studio build. Phil also carried out most of the technical aspects of the construction. Huge thanks also go to the three other members of the FTF family, Paul Watson, Keith Stuart and Ray Wallace-Watson whose contributions were of the utmost value. The construction and fitting out of the studio was completed in the summer of 2024 and Jo and I started recording the album tracks on 2 September
2024.

Description of EL-Lea-Eye-Em’s Music

I describe our music as ‘Enlightened Rock & Pop’. The thirteen songs on this almost an hour long debut, concept album: Awaken – We Are Gods remind us of our spiritual origins with the subject themes of God Power (EL); God Love (Lea); God Wisdom (Eye) and Human Victory (Em). The unmistakable message is that: ‘We Are Gods’ and that as soon as we acknowledge this truth and begin to act in the manner that Jesus demonstrated then the abundant life that we are all capable of achieving will be ours.

So who does EL-Lea-Eye-Em sound like?

Well, nobody really that I can readily identify, as the music incorporates a blend of many different genres including: Classical Music; Prog. Rock; Spiritual Rock; Sci-fi Rock; Traditional Pop; Country; Electronic Dance and Pop Love Ballads.

The general feel and vibration of the music is perhaps a subtle amalgam of the Dutch Prog. Rock band, Focus, with their strong classical music influence; the soft tones and spiritual waves of Jon & Vangelis and Enya; the powerful message-based rock anthems of Muse; the popular love songs of Phil Collins; and the powerfully
delivered, heart-wrenching, ballads of Celine Dion. And yet that still does not completely cover it!

Another point of difference is that we have used a pool of six lead vocalists: three male and three female who have been assigned to the songs that best suit their voices. On several songs there are two vocalists handling different sections of the song.

The closing track ends with the solitary teenage voices of a handpicked school choir from the Telford Park School.

The arrangements on the songs range from orchestral to solo vocal with minimal backing.

Synthesisers are frequently used to evoke the ethereal and other worldly nature of some of the songs, such as the opening track, Tell Me Who You Are, though all have a spiritual thread.

Adjectives that describe the character and personality our music include: Powerful; Emotional; Didactic; Melodic; Dynamic; Thought-Provoking; Sensitive; Romantic; Compassionate; Dramatic; Revelatory.

As a full-time studio based music entity our sole focus is on creating music, videos, merchandise and podcasts.
